Default Medium Sized dog died accross the st :(

My brother came over this afternoon and uses my phone right away . I hear him say to animal control that their is a dog who died that was right accross the st. from where I lived laying on his side , on the walkway . OMG, I have seen this dog many times before, looks like a male stray poddle type of mix.
I look accross the st. on my balcony and sure enough he is not moving, laying there ....
The animal control people tell us to take care of it because it is too muddy for them to bury him where they are.
My brother was inside my home for a good 15min or so.. WEll , he goes outside to his car, and low behold the pooch lifts his head up and walks away, then stretches his legs out, I am sure he is /was wondering what all the fuss was all about ... I was already calling the apartment complex to report the dog had died , until I saw him .. he is just fine . But, sadly , whoever is taking care of this boy looks like he is an outside dog, very unkept and unclean, but hearty, and well fed .
I am estatic that the dog was fine, but my gosh what a heartbreaking scene it was to see him laying on his side not moving .
nOw , I am thinking he was enjoying the sun . It has been rainy today , so I bet he was trying to warm up .
I wish that other people would take better care of their pets !!! my 2 girls are part of my family , loved and cared for every second of the day .
It breaks my heart to know that people do not care for their animals as well as they ought to. If animal control came out, and the dog was alive he would have been destroyed. Too many stray dogs runing around here in our little town... I am so happy he was ok , and not hurt
