Well since Simon was a rescue, I never thought of names so I watched his little personality for awhile and was debating between Simon (after trash talking Simon Cowell on American Idol) and Emmitt (after my favorite xmas movie Emmitt Otter's Jugband Christmas) but he preferred Simon!
Hallie was 2 when I rescued her and that was her name, I thought about changing it to Sadie but figured she had been through enough and kept it.
I get a lot of comments on Simon's name (people think it's a "funny" name) but I ignore them becuase frankly I don't care what they think
