Biggest thing I'd worry about with a baby that age isn't so much chasing Bailey, more the baby grabbing a handful of hair or an ear and pulling too hard or slapping at him trying to pet him. I'd just make sure that Bailey stays out of arms reach until he gets used to the baby and your friend's baby learns that it's ok to look at the doggie and give gentle pats but no hair pulling. Your attitude will help also. If you're relaxed about the baby being in the house then Bailey will be. It might help to have your friend visit once in a while with the baby so that if you do end up babysitting then Bailey will know them and be used to having the baby around. Kids should be taught from an early age how to act around dogs and sadly, seems like a lot or parents these days drop the ball on that. You would be doing the baby a great service by teaching her how to treat Bailey and animals in general. I say go for it.
