Ringo was 3 too when we brought Lucy home. There were times during that first month when I wondered if I had made a mistake.

But now I love to watch them play and interact. Ringo is 13 lbs (probably 14 after eating her puppy chow LOL) and 3 times her size . . . but they still find a way to play.

We've been so shut in this winter due to all the snow and cold and I think he has enjoyed having a companion.

I still try to take him on walks sometimes - just he and I - without Lucy. He doesn't mind the cold but she hates it. She gets so jealous if we walk without her . . . but I think they each deserve some 'mommy' time without the other. He likes to spend a lot of time in our fenced yard (despite the cold) so I use that time to play alone with her and her favorite games.

Food is still an issue - I feed them separately with her in her crate. That is about the only thing they will still fight over - and easy to control. If one gets a treat - the other does too and we feed separately. Set them up for success!

Anyway, it is a lot of fun once you get over that initial hurdle.

We will be watching for updates and pictures!
