i think that is because sometimes people want to go cheap and then the vet cuts corners and does not do all safety procedures and they end up losing their dog

so safest way is what i posted in previous post-if they do not use iv fluids and catheterization if something goes wrong they cannot bring the dog back and anesthesia is very important as well as pre-anesthetic. I would not use KET-VAL only propofol. Isoflurine is important too sevo is good too but it brings the dog back too fast in my opinion and they can get hypothermia from sevo so someone has to constantly watch them when coming too. Iso does not smell as good for dog and sevo has no smell - sevo is what they use for humans
