Welcome to YT! I just got my first yorkie and she's 3lbs exactly at 6 months old. My vet told me she probably wouldn't get much bigger than that, but that she could stand to gain an extra 1/2lb. Just keep an eye on your baby as each dog is different, even within the same breed. A pound to a yorkie can be the equivalent of 20-30 lbs on a human! Like others have said, just make sure you're feeding her a high quality puppy food (I use Blue Buffalo). I am feeding mine three times a day in order to try and put that 1/2lb on her! I know a lot of people also do boiled chicken with a little bit of rice as well! Good luck! |
