Yep. He's probably going to be jealous at first but you can make sure he knows that he's still the Top Dog.

Try not to pay more attention to the puppy than to him - it's hard, I know. But it will help with any jealousy issues.

Be sure to do everything first for him; first greeting; first out the door; first to be treated; to be fed . . . you get the picture.

Watch them closely at first and don't be alarmed if he growls at her initially or establishes his dominance . . just don't let things get TOO out of hand.

Before you know it, they will be best of friends .. but sometimes it does take a little effort to facilitate their relationship.

I have a jealous Westie and he manages to get along with little Lucy so if I can do it .. . I'm sure you can too.
