I was thinking to put together a prey model meal and grinding it for her until she is at her adult size (approx. 3 lbs) when she will be more capable of handling the meat and bone.... Also, she is a growing puppy and i want her to grow as healthy as possible without any deficiencies so I was thinking of adding a whole food supplement to her diet as well as coconut oil for her skin and coat.... So I guess the are just asking
1. if you've had a puppy this small and what you did or what you think about the plan to grind until she gets bigger
2. what you think about the supplements and if you can recomend anything when it comes to that???
As for how much to feed...it's 2% of their adult weight right???
Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.
Shylah,

I am so sorry! I thought I had answered all of your questions on the other thread. Since your baby is so small, I would definitely grind. I'll let others chime in, but I think that would be your best option. Many meat grinders out there even grind bone!

Again, a prey model raw diet is completely balanced. Giving supplements will UNbalance causing potential problems. The only thing we add is salmon oil for the omega-3s to make their skin and coat soft and shiny.

Lastly, the general rule is 2-3% of expected adult body weight but since she is a puppy and SO tiny I would probably feed closer to 4%.
