Like I said, I'm only guessing, I've studied learning theory, but know very little about specific applications. I do know that if a stimulus is too aversive, instead of just interrupting the response, it can provoke an exaggerated response. Lol, this happens all the time on Yorkitalk, if you are too aversive in your reply to someone, they become really angry instead of opening their minds to learning.

I'll let you know, I was planning on taking him to Home Depot, where he could see lots of men in work boots.
