Thanks for that info. I will certainly check it out. I have Cocoa at home now. I am not sure for how long. They did not do a plasma transfusion. All his blood work did come back with low protein etc. I am waiting on the results of the biopsy which I should get back today. I can definately see how his muscle has decreased in his body. He also has edema on his skin. That may not be spelled correctly. It is when fluid is between the layer of his skin. Its anot confirmation of the protein loss
The hospital that I took him to is Purdue University hospital. I was told that if anyone could save him they could. They are known to be the best in the state. It is a veterinary school and have many specialists there. I will pass on this info to them to be sure they have covered all bases. I have to take him back on Monday for a check up and test to see where his protein level is at. They did speak of protein injections. They have him on a high protein/low fat diet that is made by Royal Canin. I have always fed my babies Royal Canin 28 for yorkies.
