I began yorkie-sitting a couple of years ago when I did it one weekend for a friend. She passed my name on to a few other friends who had yorkies and now I yorkie-sit for quite a few families all the time! I always stay in their homes (even overnight) and make sure those little pups are thoroughly loved on!!
I charge $25 per night that I spend there, so that includes me hanging out the afternoon/evening before and feeding and walking the pup the next morning. I have a few clients that just want me to go over and feed and walk the dog and I charge $15 a visit ($25/day max).
However, now that I'm planning on getting a pup of my own, I plan on trading weekends with a friend that also has a small pup! She's had a couple instances that she needed a little help and as soon as I get mine, she'll take turns watching my little one from time to time! (Especially through the joys of housebreaking!!) |
