I really think you are jumping the gun here and if you go through with the tests spending an unnecessary amount of money.

I would put the dog on a low protein diet for 30 days and re-test the bile acids... find a vet who knows how to administer the test the right way and make sure beforehand that they are going to provide you with an EXACT number.

Once you have an exact number in hand you can go from there.
