You were lucky, doesn't always happen. Breeders know when pups ears are going to require some help.
If you tape.....leave them up 5 days, take down and leave them untaped for 2 days. Constantly checking the ear canals for possible infection. After the tape is taken off, bathe your pup, and make sure you use an ear cleaner with a drying agent......After drying I follow up with a triple antibiotic on the ear leathers.
