I have this problem with our Maltese Lola. But her problem is with water. She gulps the water down so fast that she either throws up or chokes.
We have tried several things so now I have to put like 1 ounce of water ever hour or so. Another thing that works ok is a Rabbit water bottle ,the kind they have to lick to get a few drops out of.
