Our 12 year old Yorkie lives with a 125 pound Cane Corso. She is the boss and rules the house.

We feed ours Iams Low Residue. Little from a can with the Dry Kibble. Her digestive system has been trouble free since we put her on it years ago.

She likes squeeky toys, of all sizes, and nylabones to chew on. She prefers the softer ones with Chicken flavor. She hardly makes a dent in them.

When we had a place in AZ and had a pool, she used to have her own Float board, and she did like to swim. She also liked her special innertube flotation device. If we were in the water, she had to be with us.

Never leave them alone outside. Thieves, Hawks, Owls, Coyotes. They can easily be carried away.

Do they Cuddle? Ours sure does.

Harness for sure...no choke chain.

Ours used to walk 2-3 miles when young. Now she will walk a few blocks and then get put in her carry bag or stroller for the rest of the 2-3 mile walk.

They can be stubborn, but are very smart. Mine is smarter than I am, as I am running for her...she has a way of telling us what to do!

I was never a fan of small dogs until my wife said we are getting a Yorkie over 12 years ago. Would not trade her for anything. I still like large dogs, but this is one big dog in a tiny body.

Best of luck. I am not a Yorkie expert, so I am sure others will chime in.
