 Do You Have a Picky Eater?
Are all Yorkies picky eaters, or is it just some like mine? I want to feed her dry kibble and have tried several kinds. When I first gave her Canidae puppy formula she just gobbled it up. After a while she quit eating it unless it was mixed with something she liked, like ground beef or chicken. She is 11 months old now so I switched her to the Canidae Yorkshire Terrier formula. She hates it, won't even eat it mixed with people food. I have also tried some of the premium canned pet food, but she wouldn't even taste that. I work and don't have time to cook just for her, so sometimes I give in and give her a little beef or chicken or turkey or even cheese, but I know I shouldn't. My husband says she won't ever eat dry food if we give her other stuff (he should talk, he gives her the last bite of whatever he eats!). I just can't stand to think she's hungry. She weighs 8.5 lbs. so I know she's not starving. What should I do? |
