Default I am amazed and horrified!

I am horrified by any breeder that would let a pup go at that age. I insist on keeping my pups with mom and siblings for 12 weeks, and here are the reasons.
#1 Between the 8th and 12th week are one of the most important times in a pups life. This is when he learns socialization from the litter and mom such as acceptable biting, playing etc.
#2 The breeder knows a lot more about the health of the pup by the time they are 12 weeks old and also about the pups personality so they can be honest with the new buyer.
I do not even start feeding puppy food mush to my pups until 4 weeks old. I do not take them from mom and let her feed them also until she turns them down. I have had mothers still feed pups on and off until 8 weeks.
I would never trust a breeder or buy from a breeder that let Yorkie pups go any earlier than 12 weeks. Ricki
