I started given my 4 dogs (cats too) the coconut oil last thursday. So far I have given my smaller dogs both under 10 pounds 1/4 of a teaspoon and my bigger dogs both over 20 pounds 1/2 teaspoon in thier breakfast every day. I will slowly increase it over the next few weeks untill they are at the correct dose for thier wieght. So far they havent had any problems.
