Perhaps she thinks she should have a coffee cup to drink out of like me...LOL After she wouldn't use the food bowl I put her food on the matching saucer (of the coffee cup) but the food fell off, so I went out and bought her the small heart shaped plate/bowl. It's very low and she likes it
