Only use the #40 with plastic comb attachments. If you have metal use a #15. I don't like comb attachments with Yorkies with silky hair. Comb attachments tend to leave the silky hair looking choppy. If you don't mind, then they are a good way to keep your Yorkie's hair longer, but not too long
