Default I had a scared one!

Castor Pollux was weird about noise because his breeder was awesome and he was "raised" in impecable conditions and even had some dog calming music to drown out and undesirable noises.
To break him from that (because I live in the real world) when something would make a noise i'd go sit beside it.
Castor Pollux would want to be with me and that meant being beside the scary noise thing.
So dishwasher? go sit beside it, he'll come to you, smell out your dish washer and that won't bother him.
No so much with the drill... that is dangerous.
but other things... yeah, make him come to you-- and if he isn't coming to you lure him with a treat. I Wouldn't just pick him up and put him in a scary place, but lure him and let him see that its fine
