Default I have a question about reabsorbtion.

At what point is it too late for reabsorbtion? I mean I know that in the first couple of weeks it would be easy for them to be reabsorbed. But Lady had her puppies at 53 days and lost only the boys. I have heard she might be alergic to the extra testosterone they produce. The first boys skin peeled while we tried to revive him, but I think I knew he had been dead too long to be revived. The second boy's tongue was only white around the edges while the center of it was pink. I think he hadn't been dead long. We couldn't revive him either. So since the first pup seems to have been dead longer at what point is it too late for the mother to reasorb the babies? Does anyone know? Sylvia
