This thread is totally freaking me out because Scooter has an appointment tomorrow to receive his yearly vaccines. I've decided to only give him the rabies vaccine and that's because our county mandates it. I've never had a problem with fleas although we live in Florida so I don't have to give him any flea preventative. I do, however, have to give him a monthly heartworm medication because heartworms are a very serious threat to all dogs here in the South.
My last 2 dogs, Shih Tzus, both had numerous cysts in the shoulder area where they received years of vaccinations. I've always thought there was a connection but the vet said no. I don't believe her.
