yes both yeast and bacteria thrive in sugar and why probiotics have FOS in them which is sugar to keep the good bacteria alive. But i know honey is used as a natural antibacterial as many use honey and lemon for sore throats as lemon is a natural astringent and honey natural antibiotic so they put honey in spoon and squeeze lemon on it and put it down throat as it coats the throat and then some hot tea later . I have done it alot and it really works - but with dd allergies not sure i want to do honey and it is sticky and dex and demi might like licking the beds lolllll
