I think that the flakiness is from dry skin - I really put a lot of effort into rinsing, I rinse and rinse and when I think I am done I rinse one more time to be sure...But I never used a creme rinse / or conditioner...I'm definitely not bathing them for a good week, and I'm getting them a new brush.
