I live in Castle Pines North Co. My husband is trying very hard to push a coyotes management plan in place. The coyotes here are very bold we see them near schools at all times of the day, the city street and paths. Many pet have been taken, my Gigio included.
The problem coyotes need to be taken of, so they do not breed and teach there young to hut for our pets and there bad behavior.

The coyotes here are very bold as well. Last week one walked right through the school yard while hundreds of children were outside playing at lunch time. Just a few days before that, I had my kids playing at the school playground after school. Missy was with me. For some reason, I turned around and glanced behind to see a coyote approaching. I scooped Missy up and the coyote passed by my kids and I. It was so close that if I leaned over I could have reached out and touched it (no joke). The coyote that was euthanized about 3 weeks ago was captured in the school field. I see them walking up my street regularly, and have come out in the morning to a coyote standing at the end of my driveway. They are a problem because they DO take people pets, many cats go missing in our neighbourhood, and they do bite children. I have proof. Here is a link to the article where a toddler was bitten a few times by a coyote while she was playing in her front yard. This happened exactly 3 blocks from my home. In my earlier post I said that she was bitten in the arm and chest, but that was actually another child. This one was bitten in the neck and head.
