I often THOUGHT about this b/c the fee's are overpriced, not to mention the pet carrier counts as a carry on!! TO ME, the airlines are getting double paid for those of us who do choose to follow the rules!!!
YOU do have to think about "what if", is it worth the $200 to ruin your vacation, delay your flight, and so on.....
I just look at it as if i had a kid and wanted them with me, you would pay for them to be with you no matter the cost....
