My Bentley is a BIG baby when it comes to his nails too. So I started the process with frequently handeling of his paws several times through the day with out the clippers. Then when he got use to this I clipped the majority of the excess off each nail. This was done in two seperate sittings, first with the front and then back nails. After that, I kept up the petting and handeling his paws. After a week I used the drill (pedi-paw) to get them finished. Now I make it a point to touch his feet frequently and he doesn't yelp anymore when I cut his nails.
