Thanks all. My granddaughter was over when the pups were born (not planned) and witnessed the puppy being born dead. She said a prayer to Jesus, but was curious when she was over yesterday and asked where the Jesus puppy was. I showed her were Papa buried him in the backyard. She asked if we could see him, I had to tell her he was still with baby Jesus and she would see him in heaven when she gets there. She is such a smart 5 y/o! We were sad when the pup was born dead, but Valentine is more than making up for it. I'm considering giving Valentine to my sister, then he would stay in the family and we can watch him grow up.
