mine was neutered at 6 yrs old. he developed a tumor in his anus due to too much testosterone. it did not change his personality.
it is important to neuter yorkies because the high testosterone causes tumors. no one ever told me. i didn't neuter him as a pup because it was against the ethics of a boyfriend. i was wrong.
