but isn't the dark meat higher in fat as that always concerns me as this breed it prone to pancreatitis and ibd in small intestines can affect pancreas as well as this happened to mine


Your absolutely 110 percent correct.. It is higher in fat. I questioned this with my Holistic Vet as well.. She said my dog still needed some of this dark meat in her diet. The amt was minimal in this recipe Joanne but it did work for Corki.. canned pumpkin and cottage cheese, believe it or not in small amts is healthy for them and worked for her. I think there were at least 15 or more different ingredients I mixed up. Plus royal jelly, liquid vitamin E, bone meal and many others that escape my memory right now. I cooked large batches of this every few weeks and froze it in small containers.. Lots of work for years but she was my HEART! I didn't mind.
