I am attaching a photo (and the LINK  to the story) that a photographer got of that ladies Yorkie being snatched by the coyote.  The Coyote DID catch this Yorkie and it was never found    
You can't be too careful.  If I were you, i'd either build an outdoor caged area with a roof, or have them potty indoors.  I would never allow them more than a few feet away from you ON LEASH. |

 that is terrible. That poor little baby! I can't look at that photo without cringing, knowing he got the yorkie. This makes me angry. And I may be saying this out of anger, maybe not but--I am all for animal rights, but if I was armed you'd best believe that coyote would be dead when it came to the endangerment of my dogs or children.
