I should have updated this ... no, sadly, there was never anything. We have to assume that because there was absolutely no evidence ... footprints in the snow, no way he could've gotten out of the fence, etc., that a hawk got him. It broke our hearts and certainly made us way more protective of our babies. Thank you for caring!
