Hi I am a new yorkie mom, I have two others but they are dachshunds so the grooming thing is completly new to me. I have my puppy now and he is 10 weeks old, I don't plan on taking him to a groomer, as I want to learn my self. My question is, are you supposed to keep the hair that is on their belly or chest area short? I have noticed that it sometimes gets peepee in it. I brush him everyday. thats another question. I have read that we are not supposed to brush their hair when its dry. What I have been using is a detangler spray but I also noticed that after I use it his hair feels like he has product in it. I guess somewhat of a resedu feeling... any suggestions are greatly appriciated.
