No disrespect to your vet, as they go to school and most are general practictioners and are not versed in individual breeds. However, breeding to a smaller male is a misnomer, it does not guarantee that the pups will be small as the female controls the size while the pups are in utero. There are so many factors to consider when breeding Yorkshire Terriers. And it is a big deal when breeding them. So, many things can go wrong. The worst being you can lose your girl and the litter.
