Hi -- am sorry it took me so long to get back. Thanks so much for all your help, it's really appreciated. I couldn't believe the prices for allergy testing I was quoted were for real, either. This is in CA. In PA, for instance, I was told the exact same testing (blood) could be done for $165, with each vial of serum only $65 for each. This $800 for test/$200 per vial thing is insane, but they are sticking to their prices. Will definitely go for the thyroid panel and see if that helps, thank you. Then on to the other test, am grateful for the info. For now (don't laugh), Zoe wears four legged pajamas with her feet covered whenever she goes out. Have heard there is a kind of grass that is hypoallergenic -- female buffalo grass. If her problem turns out not to be thyroid, perhaps changing the grass will be an option. Did try changing her food, but no help.
