I actually asked this question I think in the breeder section, My vet will not do this unless they are new born, the pain is similar to us having a finger removed... It is really painful to do when they are older, please reconsider!! My pup has hers they are fine , just have to clip them..
There are lot of vets that will NOT do this procedure when they are older due to the pain...
