It's very threatening in doggy language to loom over and show your hands going over their head. That being said, I know how you feel, as Thor is a big fan of the "pick me up, but don't use your scary hands" game.
I even taught him the word "Pick Up", thinking he would jump into my arms if a dangerous situation came up outside. He has learned "Pick Up", it just means something a little different than I intended. Namely, "Mommy is going to move you from where you are perfectly comfortable, and do something awful like clip your nails. Avoid her at all costs!" |
