I haven't cut my yorkies hair for 3 months and it's still not even halfway long as yours. How long does it usually take? |
Actually Paisley turned one year old on Dec. 17th and she has never had her hair cut. She has had ears trimmed, feet and bottom, the groomer also tapered the sides of her beard in once, just cut the pointy corners a bit. I think her hair actually grows kind of slow because I have seen others on here who have babies with longer hair at a younger age.
Preston is two and a half now. We have had his hair trimmed, his beard rounded, and also have had his hair thinned twice because it is SO THICK. I am at a point that I have decided to just let his grow and see what happens rather than having it thinned and trimmed, we will see how it goes.
That being said, it is a lot of work. I bathe them every Sat. and condition eally well, then use detangler and comb all of the time. Paisley actually gets a little greasy looking by the end of the week from all the detangler, but........I love the long hair on yorkies!
Thanks for all the compliments guys! I had waited to take their valentine pics because I was getting a new camera, and definately think it was worth it!
