That is so sad. I'm so sorry this happened to him. I agree with what you both have decided. I believe you're decision was the only possible choice for him. I do wish you luck tomorrow morning in finding another puppy. You haven't turned your back on him. He'll be rejoicing at Rainbow Bridge, because then he will no longer be suffering.
