Pre and post op, Ellie was put on Clavamox for her oral surgery. She had some very major issues and it worked fine. Clavamox is approved in the treatment of periodontal infection. Not that it is necessarily better than the other and not that it would work in this case (I have no idea), but it is another option if this isn't going to work. I'd probably do what LadyJane suggested and try the pills.
