Oh no, that's terrible to hear I lost my Jack Russell a few years back and the person who found him took him into the local vet. But I was devastated...so don't give up hope and do everything you can to find her. Knock on every person's door if you have to, put up fliers, offer a reward and notify all the vets and shelters and even schools in the vicinity.

I pray you find her soon, and perhaps she will manage to find her own way home? My Yorkie got out on New Years Eve and ran away from the fireworks but managed to find her way into the nighbours garden and we found her because she knew where her home was even though she was only 4 months.
