So I got a hold of it between my finger nail tips and pulled. And out popped a HUGE thorn! I was like what in the heck!? It must have really hurt him but I hadn't noticed him licking or chewing on that area at all. And it had to have been there for a quite a while bc it had scabbed completely over. When I looked back down at his skin where it had come out of it was like a gaping hole! Eeek! So I sort of pinched it and out came some yellow liquid/puss so I wiped it with peroxide and then dabbed some neosporin on it. Did I do the right thing? Should I have any reason to worry? |
Could this possibly be part of the reason Harley began to be aggressive?? If you knew about how long the thorn has been there ... the two problems could be related? The reason I am wondering .... when my Amanda was really small, my cousin's Cocker attacked her in the face for apparantly no reason! Amanda had always been very gentle with animals and had played with Muffy all her life! Come to find out, Muffy had an infection going on with her ears & they didn't know it!! She never did anything like that again! Hope you get the infection cleared up and perhaps see a change in Harley's little personality!!
