God only knows where those puppies come from and what their background is. If you're going to pay over $800.00 for a puppy, buy from a good breeder and know for sure what you are getting. You can complain to the store all you want and they won't do a thing. People buying these puppies at outrageous prices are what keeps them in business. They wouldn't be selling them if no one bought them. I know it's hard to resist those sad little faces in those cages, but people continue to buy them so that's why they are there. Get a DNA test at Petco and find out what your baby's genetics are. If it's not purbred Yorkie, are you going to love in any less? Were you buying to breed? Hope not especially not knowing the medical history of the parents. I don't mean to sound bitchy, it just seems to me that you buy a puppy to love no matter what. I paid far less for Belle from a good breeder and I have a beautiful, happy and loving little girl who is one of the main reasons I wake up in the mornings.
Very well said. I totally agree, you can't put a price tag on love.
