Your little girl can come into heat anytime from 6 months on but you should never breed her on a first heat.
I would recommend you wait until she matures to see how big she ends up as an adult...it's not wise to breed a female under 5 pounds.
I would also make sure she is healthy and within the breed standard before making the decision to breed her. Have her bile acid tested, her knees certified, her eyes and heart checked. What is her pedigree and what size are her anscestors?
There is a lot to consider before choosing to breed your female. Please be sure to keep her away from any un-neutered males during her cycle as she is too young and too small to breed at this point. |
