Hello Neighbour! I am so glad you asked this question... My two are pee pad trained and I never put the pad away because you never know when the need to go in a hurry. Being that Winnpeg is the coldest city in the world I would say that the pee pad is a must with one being pregnant! My two only go outside if the snow they pee on is lower than there bellys. So we shovel a good size spot for them. You got almost 3 feet of snow the other day! you could lose them for good in that! I can't imagine putting my little guys outside at -35 (-45 to -70 with windchill) the other day here in Regina it got to -26 with windchill and they pretty much peed on the door frame and came in, the door didn't even close. My house gets pretty cold even and I find the sweaters matte my girls hair really bad. They sleep beside a vent at night to help stay warm so I'm concerned about the cold too.
