I think it depends on the relationship you have with your brother as to whether you confront him on it or not. My brother and I don't get along. He would say something like that on purpose, knowing it would hurt. (yes, he is single and about to turn 50!). I ignore him.

If you want to keep the relationship, let him know that it hurt you deeply. Maybe he doesn't realize how badly you feel that your baby got into the pills.
