Answer: Because "ethical breeders" are the only ones breeding ethically.
Why would your basic run of the mill (pun intended) breeder want to stop making $? For the love of the dog/breed?
I know you already shoulder a great responsibility doing what you do, and I SUPPORT it in every way. But breeders need to clean up their own clubs before they start pointing fingers at everyone else. I am in NO WAY saying that YOU are needing to do that, I'm simply stating that YTCA and AKC are in no way perfect. Neither is PETA.
It does not matter how small you are. What matters is that laws change, and quality of LIFE changes and euthanasia of UNWANTED pets STOPS!
I don't think you will ever see the day where you will not be able to own a pet, and if you believe that you will, that is up to your belief.
I am not trying to change your mind about PETA or HSUS, I myself do not belong to either group, but I can respect those that do, I have a lot in common with both you and them, for starters we all belong to the same forum
