Please do let it get you down. Some people just do not understand the attachments that can form between our wonderful beloved pets. Until you have had that bond you just have no clue.
I would let him know that he hurt your feelings and that you will have let time pass before you can forgive him for his lack of compassion for you and your loss. Hugs to you.
