Depending on what heartworm medicine you were given. I use Heartguard Plus, this includes all worms except tape worm. You can either use the 1-800 numbers usually in the informational packets and/or that are printed on the boxes and ask the supplier. I am a firm believer when in doubt call the vet.... Hope this helps.
